Fratricide: killer sentenced to ten-year rigorous imprisonment

Agartala, Aug 29 (FD) The Additional Sessions Judge Court, Bishalgarh on Friday sentenced one Pranesh Choudhury of Bishalghar to ten years of rigorous imprisonment.

Pranesh was found guilty for killing his younger brother in the year 2018.

It is learnt that following a family dispute, Pranesh attacked his brother with an iron rod and killed him in their house at Lambutali in the Rampurhati area under the Bishalghar Police station.

At the end of the trial, the court found Pranesh guilty and sentenced him to 10 years rigorous imprisonment along with fine of Rs 2000. In case of default to pay the fine, he has to suffer more six months in jail.
