Four Bangladeshi nationals arrested for illegal entry in South Tripura

Agartala, Oct 7 (FD) Four Bangladeshi nationals were arrested from at Puratan Motai, a village near the Indo-Bangla border in South Tripura district.
The joint operation was conducted on October 7 by the Hrishyamukh police station and the 109th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) following a tip-off.
Police said the detainees, comprising two men and two women, were found sheltering in the house of Ashish Majumder, who was also taken into custody on charges of human trafficking. The Bangladeshi nationals were charged under the Passports Act.
