Former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP, sanctions Rs. 3.39 crore for State projects

Agartala, Aug 30 (FD) In a recent press conference, the former Chief Minister of the state and current Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, Biplab Kumar Deb, revealed his accomplishments since assuming his role in September 2022.

Deb said that he has successfully sanctioned INR 3.39 crore for ten crucial projects within the state. Notably, he has raised a total of 17 questions in parliament, focusing on a wide range of topics, including his private member's bill advocating for the inclusion of Environmental Lifestyles in School curricula.

During the ongoing session of the Rajya Sabha, Deb has ardently advocated for the swift repair of the Kumarghat- Kailashahar road and sought special attention to the matter. He has also highlighted the importance of promoting local produce, such as the famed queen pineapple of Tripura, in order to provide exposure and boost the region's products.

Deb also lauded the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) for its successful eight-year run in nurturing self-reliant entrepreneurs and revitalizing India's micro-credit landscape. His dynamic engagement in parliamentary affairs demonstrates his commitment to his constituents and the progress of the state. FD SB
