Food Minister Chairs review meeting in South Tripura District to address departmental issues

Agartala, Jun 05 (FD) The newly appointed Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department, Sushanta Chowdhuy, visited South Tripura district today to gain insights into the challenges faced by the department. In a review meeting held at the Sabrum Nagar Panchayat Conference Hall, Chowdhuy engaged with public representatives, officials, and key stakeholders to discuss issues related to the food and consumer affairs sector in the district.
During the session, discussions centered around strengthening the public distribution system in the South Tripura district and enhancing the overall development of consumers. Minister Sushanta emphasised the importance of joint efforts and collaboration among all stakeholders. He sought to bring more dynamism to the department's work in the entire South District, ensuring the well-being and interests of consumers.
Following the deliberations, Minister Sushanta provided valuable suggestions and directives to higher-ranking officials, urging them to take prompt action to resolve the issues raised by departmental officers. The meeting also witnessed the participation of notable figures such as MLA Mailafru Mog, MLA Sapna Majumdar, Additional Officer of Finance Affairs Animesh Debvarma, District Ruler and Coordinator Dhanbabu Riyang, and Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Deputy Collectors from Belonia, Sabroom, and Shantirbazar subdivisions.
