Five touts, Bangladeshi caught; 14 kg ganja recovered separately

Agartala, April 26 (FD) Five Indian touts and a Bangladeshi national were arrested in a series of operations at the Agartala railway station, officer in-charge of Government Railway Police (GRP) of Agartala, Tapas Das said today.
Acting on a tip-off, the Border Security Force (BSF) and GRP personnel laid a trap at the Agartala station and managed to arrest five Indian touts, engaged in facilitating trafficking of Bangladeshi citizens and a Bangladeshi citizen.
During preliminary interrogation, the Bangladeshi citizen identified as Biplab Das revealed that the touts managed his passage through the holes of barbed wire fencing.
Das said the touts and the Bangladeshi citizen were arrested from Agartala railway station. The Bangladeshi man was ready to on board a rail to Kolkata.
He said a case was registered against the touts and the Bangladeshi citizen.
The GRPF also recovered 14 KGs of ganja from a coach at the station during their anti-drug operation.
However, no one was arrested in this connection. FD JK
