Five Bangladeshis arrested in Sepahijala for illegal India entry

Agartala, May 22 (FD) Five Bangladeshi nationals of a single family were detained from Patharidwar in Sepahijala district today for illegal entry into the Indian territory, police said.
The villagers informed police after they noticed that the Bangladeshis were moving inside India and police then visited the border village and arrested them.
Police said during preliminary interrogation they admitted that entered India and tried to go to Delhi for job. They told police that a human trafficking network n Bangladesh facilitated their illegal entry and took Rs. 15000 Bangladeshi Taka from them as fees.
The group had entered India through a culvert beneath the border fencing evading the surveillance of BSF.
They hailed from Kurigram districts of Rangpur Division in the neighbouring country.
They were identified as Monir Khan, his wife Saheba Khatun, their sons Shahjalal Khan and Swadhin Khan, and their daughter-in-law Dulali Khatun.
They were presented before a local court. FD JK
