First film institute to be inaugurated on Nov 28

Agartala, Nov 23 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha would inaugurate the first film institute of the state on November 28 at the Nazrul Kala Kshetra here.

Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Sushanta Choudhury visited the proposed site of the instituteto oversees the preparations.

The information department is building up the institute in collaboration with the Satyajit Roy Film Institute of Kolkata. A team of experts from the Institute has already visited the place and appreciated the state government for its effort and suggested some additional facilities, which were also fulfilled.

Sushanta Choudhury said the institute will start its journey with a short-term course and subsequently, diploma and degree courses also will be introduced.
