Agartala, May 5 (FD) A steady expansion of social security coverage has reinforced confidence among workers in Tripura, as recent figures highlight the continued role of institutional support systems in safeguarding livelihoods during crises.
The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), a statutory body set up in 1948, has reported the successful disbursement of financial assistance to workers and their families in Tripura for March 2026. According to an official statement issued by Samar Das, Manager of the Tripura branch under the Guwahati Regional Office, a total of ₹7,30,277 was distributed among 85 beneficiaries during the reporting period.

Beneficiaries acknowledged the importance of the initiative, stating that the assistance served as a vital safety net that helped them navigate difficult circumstances without severe financial strain.
The development underscores the ongoing commitment of ESIC to extend social protection and welfare support across both organized and unorganized sectors in the region. FD JK
