East PS police nabs member of Bike lifters gang, releases image of gang leader

Agartala, Oct 07 (FD) Police personnel of East police station nabbed a member of a bike lifting gang from Santipara area here on Thursday night, an official said.

Police nabbed Johar Uddin of Churaibari in Shantipara area near Chittaranjan Club on suspicion. He was riding a pulsar bike wearing a full helmet, Addressing a press conference at the East PS on Friday Sadar SDPO Ajay Kumar Das said.

Later on the basis of his confession police recovered a scooty. Police arrested Johar Uddin and seized the Pulser bike and investigating if the bike is stolen as well.

Besides, the police released a photograph of a leader of the bike lifter’s gang during a press conference on Friday. The gang leader was identified as Rajib Alam. FD PD JK
