East Agartala Police Recover 24 Stolen Mobiles, Return to Owners

Agartala, Feb 4 (FD) In a commendable display of efficiency, officers of the East Agartala Police Station recovered 24 Android mobile phones that had been stolen at different times over the past few months.
Following the recovery, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station called the 24 complainants and handed over their respective mobile phones after they produced valid proof of ownership. All the recovered phones had been reported stolen through written complaints filed earlier by the owners.
A brief handover programme was organised at the police station, which was attended by Superintendent of Police (West) Namit Pathak, SDPO (Sadar) Deba Prasad Roy, and OC Subrata Debnath.
Meanwhile, a sub-inspector of the East Agartala Police Station, while performing his duties as an inquiry officer, arrested a thief accused of snatching a gold chain from a woman. The accused was later produced before media persons at the police station premises. FD JK
