Dr Manik Saha elected unanimously as the Chief Minister of Tripura for the second term

Agartala, March 6 (FD) Brushing aside all speculations, Dr. Manik Saha is all set to take oath as the Chief Minister of Tripura for the second term.
BJP state President Rajib Bhattacharya said today, the name of Dr Saha was unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP legislature party today and he would take oath as the Chief Minister of Tripura for the second term.
Besides all the 32 elected MLAs of the party, central leaders like Parimal Shukla Baidya, a minister of Assam, Sambit Patra, BJP central spokesperson and Mahendra Singh, Provery of the party were present in the meeting.
Union Minister of state for Social Empowerment, Pratima Bhowmik, who was also elected as an MLA in the February 16 assembly elections from Dhanpur constituency had proposed the name of Dr. Saha as the Chief Minister, which was supported unanimously.
Sources in the party said, the newly elected council of ministers would take oath on March 8 at the Swami Vivekanada Maidan here.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP’s national president, J P Nadda will remain present in the oath taking ceremony. FD JK
