Down to earth Chief Minister shows his human face again

Agartala, Dec 8 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, who is a down to earth man today showed his human face again at Bisramganj this morning. It was around 11-00 AM that the chief minister’s convoy was passing by Udaipur in connection with a party programme. When the convoy was nearing Bisramganj Bazar a very old lady standing by the road side could not bear the powerful wind speed originated from the speeding convoy of the Chief Minister and fell by the wayside without sustaining any major injury.

However, the incident caught the eye of the chief minister, who immediately stopped his convoy and got down to rescue the old woman. He personally lifted the woman into his vehicle and took her to the nearby Bisramganj hospital where he placed her on a wheel chair and took her inside.

However, the attending doctors informed Dr. Saha that the lady’s injury was not serious and only there were some scratches on her body. Chief Minister then paid some money to the woman and left for his job. FD
