Doctors of GBP hospital successfully remove iron rod from patient’s neck, CM congratulates

Agartala, Dec 28 (FD) Another feather was added to the cap of doctors of GBP hospital as they successfully operated a patient when an iron rod had inserted through his neck.

One Krishnadhan Poddar, a driver by profession of Dukli, near here, met an accident and suffered a critically injury when an iron rod had inserted through his neck.

The injured was rushed to the hospital; the prime referral healthcare unit in Tripura conducted successful surgery and removed the rod. The patient is stated to be stable now.

The team of doctors consisted of Dr. Tanmoy Deb, Dr. Tarun Guha, Dr. Satyakam, Dr. Sayantan Rudra Paul while the team was headed by Dr. Baskar Majumder, Dr. Bidhan Das and Dr. Biswajit Sutradhar.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha in a social media post appreciated the efforts of the doctors and congratulated them.

“I am happy to know that the injured person is out of danger for now. My sincere congratulations and best wishes to all the doctors and health workers associated with this successful surgery,” he wrote in the post. FD SB PD JK
