Doctor of GBP Hospital saves a girl from stomach tumor by successful operation

Agartala, Sep 17 (FD) Doctors at GBP hospital successfully saved a teenage girl from a severe stomach tumor through the process of complex operations and treatment.
The girl was rescued from an area around Radhanagar motor stand by two members of an organization to be admitted in GBP hospital and the doctors of AGMC and GBP officially started the treatment on August 21 last. After a series of tests, a tumor was discovered in the stomach.
On September 7, a medical team under the leadership of gynecologist Dr. J.L Baidya successfully operated on the tumor.
Anesthesiologists Dr. Tapan Debbarma and Dr. Ranjit Reang were appointed in this operation. However, the patient was not willing to take anesthesia. The patient was shifted to anesthesia ICU for five days after operation. Presently, the patient is fine and recovering normally.
The patient is originally a resident of Bairagi para under Chachubazar of Mohanpur subdivision. Her mother died when she was 6 and presently her father is in jail for quite some time.
She used to live with her grandfather. Guardian less, the girl gradually took refuge in intoxicating substances like weed, tablets, dendrites, drugs through injections etc, since 7th standard in school.
She was intoxicated when she was admitted to hospital. The girl worked as a maid at a house in 2016. However, she was unable to cope with drug withdrawal and soon got involved in unlawful activities with purchase of narcotics.
The girl left her job and made a living by begging on roads. She was found beside the road in Radhanagar motor stand area and rescued.
