Diwali celebration comes to end with closing ceremony at Matabari, Udaipur

Agartala, Oct 27 (FD) Despite heavy storms caused by Cyclone Sitrang, the 2-day Diwali fair and festival at the famous Tripureshwari temple in Udaipur ended peacefully and with due respect Wednesday.
Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma attended the ‘Samapan’ (closing) ceremony organized at the temple on Wednesday
Addressing the closing ceremony he said, “Maa Tripureswari is the protector of creation. Work has been going on to renovate and maintain the temple of Maa Tripureswari. It is the blessing of Maa that the state is moving towards development.”
Arun Kumar Roy, Additional District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Gomati district delivered the welcome speech while MLA Biplab Kumar Ghosh delivered vote of thanks on the occasion.
MLA Pramod Reang and Chairperson of Udaipur district council Shital Chandra Majumder also attended the closing ceremony in the evening. FD DM
