Ahead of the Independence Day Celebrations, Delhi Police has prohibited flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms like para-gliders, paramotors, hang-gliders, unmanned aerial vehicles, and microlight aircraft in the national capital from tomorrow.
The order issued by the Delhi Police Commissioner will remain effective till the 16th of August. The decision to prohibit such aerial platforms was taken to thwart criminal, anti-social elements, or terrorists inimical to India from posing a threat to the safety of the general public, dignitaries, and vital installations by using them.
