Prime Minister and Senior BJP Leader Narendra Modi said that the capital, Delhi, needs a double-engine government for the rapid development of the city.
Addressing a public meeting in Dwarka, New Delhi today, Mr Modi said the people of Delhi need such a government, which fulfils their aspirations, like building houses for the poor, making Delhi modern, and providing tap water to every household. He accused the AAP-led Delhi government of corruption and looting the people for fighting elections in other states. He said that if BJP comes to power, Delhi will not just be a model for the capital but also for the rural areas. He said that in the first sitting of the Assembly, the CAG report will be tabled, where the corruption details of the current government are stated. He also accused the AAP-led Delhi government of fighting with the Centre and other state governments.
The Prime Minister assured that promises made to people by the BJP will be fulfilled in a time-bound manner, and this is Modi’s guarantee. He assured that all pending work of the past 11 years will be completed. Mr Modi also criticised AAP’s remarks on pollution in the Yamuna River. The prime minister termed the allegations baseless.
