Daring attempt of pilferage at The Agartala Press Club

Agartala, April 6 (FD) In a daring attempt, a group of pillaging gang of thieves had raided the Agartala Press Club, the apex body of media fraternity in the state in the night of Wednesday and ransacked the club kitchen and wardrobes and took away a number of goods.

The club secretary, Ramakanta Dey lodged an FIR with the West Agartala police station for action.

The thieves after barging into the club had locked up the guest room from outside, where an employee of the club and a guest was sleeping.

This for the first time a thief or a gang of thieves entered into the Press Club, which has become a matter of concern and insecurity for the club members.

It is learnt that the club authority also sent a letter to the Superintendent of S.P, West Tripura to enhance security and step up vigil in the neighborhood of the Club. FD JK
