Dainik Sambad patrika awards scholarship to the poor, but meritorious students

Agartala, July 6 (FD) The Bhupendra Chandra Dutta-Bhowmik trust on Saturday awarded ‘Merit and means’ award to 32 poor, but meritorious students for their outstanding performance in this year’s Madhyamaik and Higher Secondary examinations.
The trust was initiated by the legendary editor of Dainik Sambad, Bhupendra Chandra Datta Bhaowmick himself and later set up by the management of the trust running by the newspaper authorities.
The scholarships were awarded at the Muktadhara auditorium here in a well organised programme.
The Secretary of the Ram Krishna Mission, Vibek Nagar, Maharaja Swami Shubha Karananda, former principal of MBB College, Dr Sukumar Das, former professor Mihir Deb, chairman of Bhupen Dutta-Bhowmik trust Sanjay Paul, veteran journalist Sanjib Deb, secretary of Bhupen Dutta-Bhowmik trust Pradip Dutta Bhowmik were present in the programme. Vice-President of ILS hospital Kishore Ambuly . Dr A.K. Roy and Dr Partha Pratim Saha also attended the heart-warming programme.
All the 32 meritorious students were given cheque f Rs. 25,000 as an aid for continuing their education. FD JK
