CWG 2026: Nine Indian boxers assure medals after sealing semifinal berths

At the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, nine Indian boxers have assured medals for the country after sealing semifinal berths. Five pugilists including Arundhati Choudhary in women’s 70 kg, Sakshi Chaudhary in women’s 51kg, Sachin in Men’s 60kg, Ankush Panghal in men’s 80kg semifinals and Narender Berwal in men’s 90 Plus kg categoreis registered victories today.

Earlier, Lovlina Borgohain in 75 kg, Preeti Pawar in 54 kg, Priya Ghanghas in 60 kg and Jadumani Singh in Men’s 55kg had already reached semifinals confirming medals for India.

India’s overall medal tally currently stands at 12 comprising two Gold, seven Silver and three Bronze.
