Agartala, Dec 7 (FD) All the anti ‘Hindutvabadi’ forces in Tripura on Wednesday came to a common platform provided by the CPI-(ML) Liberation over the celebration of 75-years of India’s independence, even as the elections for sixty-member assembly election is due in February next year in the state.
The Tripura unit of CPI-ML, a small political force, which has no electoral presence in the state, but known for proper analysis of the state situation today invited the relatives of the patriots to pay tributes, who were actively involved in the independence movement as revolutionaries and now known as the ‘unsung heroes” and also invited the leaders of all political parties.
The leaders like Jitendra Chowdhuri, the Secretary of the state unit of CPI-M, Sudip Roy Barman, a turncoat though, now prominent leader of Congress and leaders from TIPRA Motha, RSP, CPI and the All India General Secretary of CPI-ML, Dipankar Bhattacharya were present.
Chowdhury in his speech said, the party, which is at the helm of affairs of the country was actually an anti-independence force has taken a lead in celebrating the 75th years of independence as “Azadi-ka-Amrit Mahotsav’ and the party, which had got the opportunity to build the nation has divided the country into “We and You” on the basis of religion and shattered the dream of independence.
“The BJP or the RSS has shattered the dream of independence and surrendered to the forces of monopoly capitalist forces”, Chowdhury said.
Bhattacharya, who represents a formerly ultra left party said “We need to respect the forces, who fought for independence and also respect them, who wanted to build a modern and developed India”.
However, he said, that stream of independence movement, who were against independence movement now rules the country.
He also mentioned that now India needs to annihilate caste system and ensure liberty and social justice for all sections of people.
The political analysts are of the view that today’s programme has provided a platform to anti-BJP forces to be united before the state elections. FD JK
