CPI-M state conference elevates Krishna Rakshit, Ratan Das to secretariat

Agartala, May 12 (FD) The meeting of the state conference of the opposition CPI-M has elevated the status of the two senior leaders of the party by promoting them from the state committee to the secretariat.

The two leaders are famous women’s leader, Krishna Rakshit and former MLA and the party’s West Tripura district committee, Ratan Das. This was approved by the state committee in presence of the party’s politburo chief MA Baby.

The party in its conference held yesterday also decided to induct party’s advocate front leader Harbal Debnath and Longterai valley sub-divisional committee secretary Himangshu Deb as invitee members in the state committee.

Sources in the party said that these two inductions were done to strengthen the party. FD JK
