Counting of Votes for Bye-election to 56-Dharmanagar Assembly Constituency has been completed successfully

Agartala, May 04 (FD) Counting of Votes for Bye-election to 56-Dharmanagar Assembly Constituency has been completed successfully on 4th May, 2026.
Counting of Votes has been conducted in the presence of the contesting candidates/election agents and counting agents. 6 (Six) number of contesting candidates/election agents and 57 (Fifty-seven) number of counting agents were present at the counting hall during the counting process.
After counting of votes, results have been declared by the Returning Officers concerned, following the due procedures.After completion of counting of votes, VVPAT slips have been taken out from VVPATS in the presence of candidates/their representatives under CCTV coverage and security and kept in black envelopes for storage in the strong room having statutory documents.
EVMs have also been sealed in the presence of candidates/their representatives before storing in the strong room in the presence of candidates/their representatives. EVMs will be stored in the strong room, as per storage and security protocol prescribed by the Election Commission of India, till finalization of list of Election Petitions by the High Court concerned.
