Congress Holds CWC Meet in Ahmedabad, Plans Major Organisational Revamp Ahead of AICC Session

The meeting of the Congress Working Committee, the highest decision-making body of the Congress, was held at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial in Ahmedabad.
The meeting was attended by over 150 members, including National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
Addressing the media, senior Congress leader and general secretary of AICC KC Venugopal said the Congress party will soon undergo a massive organisational restructuring, and discussions regarding the revamp of the political party were held in today’s extended Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting.
The party will take up discussions on two resolutions: one regarding the key issues of national polity and the other regarding the political situation in Gujarat, during the AICC session scheduled to be held at Sabarmati Riverfront tomorrow. More than 3,000 delegates from across the country, including senior party leaders, chief ministers of Congress-ruled states, state presidents, CWC members, and special invitees, are expected to attend the AICC session.
