Pradesh Youth Congress president Rakhu Das, who led the procession, alleged that when the state government was campaigning that good governance is prevailing when at least four minor girls were raped in last ten days in the state and the law and order had collapsed.
“But in the name of good governance, the law and order have completely collapsed. Every day murder, rape, and gang rapes are taking place. In last ten days more than four rape-related incidents took place and BJP leaders are involved in such cases”, said Das.
However, after a minor scuffle, police held about 200 demonstrators and put them in a temporary jail here and later freed.

The minister on Friday said, “The opposition political parties are falsely implicating that my son is involved with the rape. Investigation is on and truth must be unearthed. Opposition parties are trying to make it an issue as they are not getting any issue against the government”.
Training his gun towards opposition political parties Das said, “there is a saying – Haati Chale Bazaar, Kutta bhauke hazaar (Elephant walks in the market, dogs bark in thousands”.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the ruling BJP, Papia Datta, also a prominent women leader of the state in a press conference here today said, “Opposition parties in the state have hatched a conspiracy to malign the image of the state government by involving the name of a minister’s son in a rape case.
