CM stresses for better coordination of advocates and police to punish criminals

Agartala, Oct 7 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday asserted that better coordination between police and the advocates cane make sure that the criminals including the drug dealers would not go unpunished.
Chief Minister said this while interacting with the presidents and secretaries of all bar associations of the state at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala today.
Visibly annoyed Chief Minister pointed that criminals associated with drug trafficking are getting bail from the court due to lack of coordination between the lawyers and police.
When assured the lawyers of his government’s commitment for creating better infrastructure for the court also stressed the need for bringing the criminals to justice.
However, he further said that negligence of police and lawyers in their works paving the way for getting bails of the criminals cannot be accepted. FD JK
