Agartala, Mar 12 (FD) In the 39th session of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu program, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha once again met with the public to hear their grievances. This weekly program, held at the Chief Minister’s official residence, provided an open platform for citizens to discuss issues related to healthcare, employment, land disputes, and more. The attendees felt reassured after receiving direct solutions from the Chief Minister.
Koel Sinha, a resident of Fultali, Kailashahar, is currently undergoing treatment at Mumbai’s Tata Memorial Hospital. Doctors have recommended a bone marrow transplant, which is extremely expensive. Her father is a TSR jawan (Tripura State Rifles personnel). Upon hearing their request, the Chief Minister assured financial assistance for Koel’s treatment.
Similarly, Biplab Das from AD Nagar, Agartala, sought help for his wife's thalassemia treatment. The Chief Minister not only promised medical aid but also directed officials of the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department to provide financial support.
Ranbir Acharya from Palpara, Amtali, appealed for assistance for his daughter’s medical treatment. In response, the Chief Minister immediately contacted the Medical Superintendent of GB Hospital and instructed him to take necessary steps for her treatment.
Bishnupriya Sutradhar, a resident of South Joynagar, sought financial aid. The Chief Minister directed the Department of Social Welfare and Social Educationto provide her daughter with a financial allowance.
Additionally, several other citizens, including Partha Pratim Roy from Bardowali, Babulal Debnath from West Khupilong in Killa, Sathi Rani Pal from Joynagar, Priyanka Bhattacharjee from Krishnanagar, and Kaberi Deb from Sukanta Palli in Kumarghat, requested medical assistance. After reviewing their medical documents, the Chief Minister instructed the Superintendents of GB Hospital and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital to take appropriate action for their treatment.
The program was attended by Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, Secretary to the Chief Minister; Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Health & Family Welfare Department; Tapas Roy, Secretary of the Social Welfare & Social Education Department; Dr. Vishal Kumar, District Magistrate & Collector of West Tripura; Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, Medical Superintendent of GB Hospital; and S. Debbarma, Medical Superintendent of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital.
