CM Saha: Rohingyas, Bangladeshis will be pushed back strictly

Agartala, May 21 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday said that the Rohingyas and the Bangladeshi nationals would not be allowed to enter into the Indian territory and even if they enter would be pushed back to the neighbouring country.
Talking to the reporters in an event here, Saha said, “We will not allow them to enter into our territory and if they manage to enter strong legal actions would be initiated against them and pushed back”.
Sources in the BSF said, after the Prime Minister of Bangladesh took shelter in India and new government came to power the 856 km long border with the neighbouring country was kept under strong surveillance so that no one can enter into our country.
“But despite vigil many Rohingyas and Bangladeshis managed to enter into India with the help of a group of Indian and Bangladeshi touts. We have taken strong legal actions against them”, a BSF officials said.
Meanwhile, the Leader of the opposition in Tripura assembly and CPI-M politburo member today said, a group of Jamat-e-Islami and the Rajakars could capture power in Bangladesh, but the country will witness general elections.
“I cannot say when the elections would be held. I also believe like that of the majority people of Bangladesh, who inherit the legacy of liberation movement in the country will come to power through elections. People of the country would not tolerate the people, who could hijack the power”, he told reporters. FD JK
