Agartala, Aug 24 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha chaired a district-level review meeting in Dhalai to assess the progress of ongoing development works and the implementation of various government schemes, with emphasis on timely completion and improved public service delivery.
The meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate’s Office in Dhalai, where the Chief Minister reviewed key issues and development activities being undertaken by several departments, including Public Works, Education, Health, Power, Social Welfare, Forest, Drinking Water and Sanitation, Home and border security-related departments.
During the meeting, Dr. Saha directed concerned officials to ensure that all ongoing projects in Dhalai district are completed within the stipulated time. He stressed that timely execution must not come at the cost of quality and instructed departments to maintain proper standards in development works.
The Chief Minister also underlined the importance of regular monitoring by district-level officials to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach people, particularly those living in remote and difficult-to-access areas. He called for greater transparency in the delivery of government services and urged officials to address implementation-related issues promptly.
Strengthening coordination among different departments was another key focus of the review meeting. Dr. Saha emphasized that better inter-departmental coordination would help accelerate development activities and ensure more effective implementation of government projects across Dhalai.
The meeting was attended by Dhalai Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Sushmita Das, MLAs Manoj Kanti Deb, Chittaranjan Debbarma, Nandita Reang, Pal Dangshu, Shambhulal Chakma and Swapna Das Paul. Secretaries of various departments, senior state administration officials, Dhalai District Magistrate and Collector, Superintendent of Police, SDMs, BDOs and representatives of various line departments were also present.
The Chief Minister said that the actions taken by different departments following the review would be assessed again after three months, ensuring continued monitoring of development works and government scheme implementation in the district. FD SB
