Agartala, June 25 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 20 development projects worth ₹65.49 crore in Sepahijala district, reaffirming the state government's commitment to strengthening healthcare, administrative infrastructure and education facilities across the region.
The projects were launched during a programme held at the Lal Singh Mura Primary Health Centre (PHC) 
under the Charilam Assembly constituency. On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly introduced 24-hour outpatient and emergency healthcare services at the PHC and inspected various facilities at the health centre. He also virtually inaugurated several projects through a digital launch ceremony.
According to official sources, the package comprises 15 projects under the Health Department worth ₹57.42 crore, four projects under the Revenue Department valued at ₹5.83 crore, and one project under the Education Department costing ₹2.15 crore.
The Health Department initiatives include the introduction of round-the-clock emergency and indoor patient department (IPD) services at Lal Singh Mura PHC, construction of ten new AAS buildings, establishment of two-block public health units, and development of a residential complex under Boxanagar Community Health Centre (CHC).
The Revenue Department projects include the construction of the District Commissioner and Collector's offi
ce building for Sepahijala district, 37 Type-IV residential quarters, the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office, 36 Type-IV residential quarters for the Bishalgarh DCM office, and 35 Type-IV residential quarters under the Jampuijala residential office.
Under the Education Department, a new building for Bishalgarh English Medium School was inaugurated, aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure and creating a better learning environment for students.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Saha said the government is focused on expanding access to quality healthcare, improving administrative efficiency and strengthening educational institutions to ensure balanced development across all districts. He expressed confidence that the newly inaugurated and upcoming projects would significantly improve public service delivery and contribute to the socio-economic progress of Sepahijala district.
The programme was attended by Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Supriya Das Datta, MLAs Sushanta Deb, Antara Sarkar Deb, Tafajjal Hossain, Biswajit Kalai, Subodh Debbarma and Manab Debbarma, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Sepahijala District Magistrate Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, District Police In-charge Rajiv Sutradhar and other senior government officials.
