CM reviews the healthcare facilities for common masses and issues directives

Agartala, Aug 26 (FD) In an effort to cater better healthcare services to people, Chief minister Dr Manik Saha who also holds the portfolio of health department has adopted special measures, which were taken following multiple complaints.
The measures were taken after a review meeting Chaired by the chief minister which include: 1) Introduction of bio-metric attendance system in all hospitals and health centres in the state to ensure attendance of all officials of the health departments 2) To restraint on doctors who sit in medicine shops out their places of work in hospitals and stop unethical activities , 3) Setting up of rest room and facilities for drinking water outside the OPD and IPD of every hospital, 4) Opening of counter for patient registration in hospitals, 5) building of separate shelter house and toilet for relatives of patients admitted to the hospital, 6)Putting up sign boards in every hospital giving detail information about the opening and closing of OPDs, 7) No unnecessary delay will be tolerated in performing surgeries in the hospitals, 8) Timely submission of all lab test reports of patients, 9) Introduction of fire fighting systems and arrangement of separate OPDs for specially abled patients in every hospitals, and 10 ) Pasting of citizens charter in each and every hospital.
A notification in this regard was issued by the deputy secretary health, Dr Anima Debbarma, incorporating all the instructions finalized in the review meeting. The circular also mentioned that strict actions would be taken against those, who did not adhere to the instructions mentioned in the circular. FD JK
