CM orders immediate help for cancer treatment and local issues addressed

Agartala, Sept 18 (FD) Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, under the 'Mukhyamantri Samipeshu' program, addressed the grievances of the public on Wednesday at his official residence. This weekly initiative provides an open forum for citizens to voice their concerns directly to the Chief Minister, covering a range of issues such as healthcare, infrastructure, and local development.
During the event, Biki Rishidas from East Pratapgarh sought assistance for cancer treatment. Responding promptly, the Chief Minister directed the hospital superintendent to arrange immediate care at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital, Agartala. Similarly, Bhajan Sarkar from Lankamura requested support for his son's heart condition, to which the Chief Minister assured appropriate medical aid.
In addition to healthcare concerns, residents from the Resham Bagan area highlighted the deteriorating state of the Manikya Sagar lake. The Chief Minister instructed Urban Development Department Secretary Kiran Gitye to deploy a team for inspection and restoration work. Pritam Das from West Bhubanban raised concerns about the poor condition of local roads, which were echoed by other citizens, leading to a swift response from the administration.
Several officials, including GB Hospital Superintendent Dr. Shankar Chakraborty and Cancer Hospital Superintendent S. Debvarma, were present during the session, ensuring prompt action on health-related matters.
