The Nipun Mission, launched nationwide on July 5, 2021, aims to help students achieve basic reading and mathematical skills by Grade-2 by 2026-27. In Tripura, the mission was introduced on November 18, 2022, with a goal of reaching 150,000 students and nearly 12,000 teachers across 4,227 government and government-aided schools. Currently, over 10,000 teachers and approximately 90,000 students from the primary to second grade are benefiting from this program, making Nipun Tripura a nationally recognized initiative.
