Agartala, Aug 21 (FD) Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday urged newly inducted Tripura Civil Service (TCS) officers to uphold transparency, honesty and dedication while discharging their responsibilities, saying efficient administrators must serve as a vital bridge between the government and the people.
Addressing the certificate distribution ceremony of the TCS 2026 batch at the conclusion of their training programme at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala, the Chief Minister handed over certificates to 27 newly inducted officers and extended his best wishes for their future careers.
The programme was organised jointly by the Personnel and Training Department and the State Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (SIPARD).
Dr. Saha said knowledge, dedication and professional skills were essential for development and urged the young officers to work above considerations of caste and creed. He said public officials must perform their duties with honesty and transparency and earn the confidence of the people through hard work and effective service delivery.
“The ability to take on greater challenges is one of the qualities of an efficient administrator,” the Chief Minister said, adding that a government job should not merely be viewed as a means of livelihood but as an opportunity to serve society.
Referring to the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, Dr. Saha said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid special emphasis on skill development to build a developed India. He said Tripura was also moving forward with the objective of building Viksit Tripura @2047, with developmental initiatives being implemented through coordination between the administration and public representatives.
The Chief Minister stressed that the newly inducted officers must continuously upgrade their skills and adapt to changing administrative and technological requirements. He also said the state government was moving towards the vision of Digital India and was strengthening the administrative machinery through the recruitment of new officers to ensure the proper implementation of development projects.
Dr. Saha said transparent and honest implementation of government schemes was crucial for the socio-economic development of the people. He noted that Tripura had made significant progress in various sectors and said the state had received recognition for its development initiatives.
Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha said the induction of the new TCS officers would further strengthen and accelerate administrative work across the state. SIPARD Director Apurba Roy delivered the welcome address.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the 27 young officers would utilise their academic knowledge and professional experience to make meaningful contributions wherever they are posted and play an important role in building a developed Tripura and a developed India by 2047. FD SB
