Agartala, Dec 8: When any government delivers good governance people of that state vote them spontaneously to bring them back to the power, which was evident from the results of the just concluded Gujarat elections, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said today.
He said, the Tripura government is also trying its best to deliver good to the people of the state and the state was developing fast.
Saha also appealed to the people of the state to bring the BJP government back to the power due to its ‘good performance’ and discard the old culture of violence and murder by the former government.
The elections for the sixty member assembly are due in March next year.
Chief Minister, who was addressing a gathering at Shantirbazar in South Tripura district, about 100 km from here also criticized the opposition CPI-M, the party ruled the state for five consecutive terms.
“CPI (M) installed a jungle rule where violence, arson, murders and rapes were everyday event. In democracy everybody has the right to exercise their political right, but any attempt to resort to violence would be dealt firmly. I will also appeal to people not to accept the Marxists anyway”, he said in the public meeting. OVER
