CM instructs for treatment of a woman, who was burnt by her husband

Agartala, Mar 20 (FD) An young bride from Pratapgarh areas of the West Tripura district on Thursday appeared before the official residence of the Chief Minister Dr manik Saha and demanded for her treatment of bruise due to burning.

Bride was identified as Arpita Acharjee, who eloped with a man two years ago and gave birth to a girl child and her husband started torturing her for delivering the girl child.

Police said at one point of time, the alleged husband also tried to kill her by burning and the bride came before the official residence of the Chief Minister to apprise him about the developments and getting the opportunities for her treatment.

Chief Minister instructed the police officials to take her to the hospital and arrange for her full treatment. FD JK
