Agartala, Sept 12 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday inaugurated a blood donation camp in Bichitra hall of Udaipur’s Ramesh High School on the occasion of 129th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’ historic Chicago address.
In his inaugural speech, Saha said that Swami Vivekananda had upheld the status and glory of sanatana dharma to the world and asked the students to follow his advices.
Appreciating the contribution of Ramesh High School in the field of education in Tripura, chief Minister said the school produced many scholars and reputed people in the state.
He assured the students that the government would take initiative to create more infrastructures and bring technological developments at school in the future.
Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Pratima Bhoumik also spoke in the function and said that the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda should be followed by all, who is the main constructor of the rich heritage of India. She also asked the alumni of Ramesh School to come forward and contribute to the school’s development.
Among others, the vice principal of Ramakrishna Mission Buddhirupananda Maharaj and the president of Gomati Zila parishad Swapan Adhikari spoke in the event. The welcome speech of the event was presented by the principal of Ramesh H.S. Schhol, Parimal Chakraborty.
The function was attended by District Magistrate of Gomati district, Mayur Ratilal, head of managing committee of the school Bishweshwar Majumder and other important alumni of the school.
CM handed the certificate of achievement to a student, Ankita Sengupta for successfully passing the 2022 metric exam. Besides, the students of the school were also handed scholarships in 9 different fields by the guests.
A cultural function was held along with a blood donation camp to commemorate this historic day. FD DM JK
