CM Dr. Saha Discusses Railway Development with NF Railway Delegation

Agartala, Mar 3 (FD) A delegation led by Arun Kumar Choudhury, General Manager (Construction) of NF Railway, met Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at the Secretariat to discuss the expansion and modernization of railway services in the state.
The meeting covered key aspects, including railway electrification, the introduction of electric passenger trains from Badarpur to Sabroom, and converting single-line tracks into double-line ones. Plans for launching the Agartala-Guwahati Intercity Rail Service and constructing 23 railway over bridges were also discussed.
Further discussions included modernizing Agartala, Dharmanagar, and Udaipur railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and introducing express trains from Agartala to Jammu, Puri, and Gaya. The delegation also reviewed the Agartala-Akhaura rail project and the proposal for a railway link from Sabroom Station to the Integrated Check Post.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need to maintain cleanliness at railway stations and enhance Agartala Railway Station into a world-class facility.
