Agartala, Sep 3 (FD) Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Friday stressed on maintaining peaceful atmosphere and increasing export of goods produced in the state for economic development and expansion of industries in the state.
“The suitable environment for setting up industry prevailing in the state has to be properly made use of the Industry and Commerce department must take plans towards increasing export of goods produced in the state for economic development”, Dr Saha said.
Dr Saha after inaugurating the Udyogi Bhawan on the occasion of the 5th Foundation Day of Tripura Industry Owners Association organized at Bodhjungnagar Industrial Complex said, national and international investors will be eager to set up industry in the state only when there is conducive environment for it.
Prior to the inaugural programme, the Chief Minister and other dignitaries visited blood donation camp organized by Tripura Industry Owners Association and Covid-I 9 Booster Doze Centre.
Chairman of Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Tinku roy, Director of Industry and Commerce department Swapna Debnath, Chairman of Tripura Tea Development Corporation Santosh Saha, Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner based in Agartala Arif Mohammad and General Secretary of Tripura Industry Owners Association Pran Gopal Saha were present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister also said, different infrastructural development including transportation has been developed to set up industry in the state. As a result, industrial investors from outside the state are now interested towards setting up industry in the state.
The state government is also providing different kinds of services and facilities to them. The previous government could not take any step towards industrial development during its reign. Instead, industries have been shoved towards destruction in the name of protests.
The present government however, is working following the main mantra of `Sabka Sath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas'. The Chief Minister urged the Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner to take initiative towards increasing export of state products to Bangladesh.
The Chief Minister said, the locals also have to be kept side by side in the development of Bodhjungnagar Industrial Complex.
