CM Dr. Manik Saha boosts Rural Growth with New Devt Initiatives

Agartala, Dec 13 (FD) The government is intensifying efforts to bolster the rural economy through innovative development programs. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha reaffirmed this commitment while inaugurating a new ambulance service and a medical testing van at a gathering held at Dashmighat ground in East Nalchhar today. The event was organized to highlight the state’s development initiatives and was attended by prominent figures including Sipahijala Zilla Parishad President Supriya Das Dutta, MLA Kishore Barman, District Magistrate Dr. Siddhavider Jaiswal, and other dignitaries. Nalchhar Panchayat Samiti Chairman Swapan Kumar Das presided over the program.
In his address, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s realistic approach to rural development, inspired by the vision of the Prime Minister. He highlighted the continuous implementation of central and state schemes aimed at strengthening the rural economy. "The state’s GSDP is performing better than many others, reflecting the socio-economic growth in rural areas," he stated.
Dr. Saha also mentioned the accolades received by the state for its governance and credited the "double-engine government" for accelerating development. Initiatives like the establishment of a dental college, synthetic football turfs, and four-lane roads are testament to this progress.
During the event, the Chief Minister distributed documents for various welfare projects, handed over a Rs 50 lakh cheque under the PMHGP project, and awarded Rs 21.5 lakh to Nirmahal CLF under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission. Additionally, he inaugurated a medical testing van to enhance healthcare in the region, further strengthening rural services.
