CM Distributes Toolkits to Trained Bru Community Members in Amarpur

Agartala, Aug 23 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday distributed toolkits to trained members of the Bru community at a skill development programme organised in Amarpur.

The programme was organised by the Directorate of Skill Development as part of the government’s efforts to promote the socio-economic development of the Bru community by enhancing access to skill training, employment and self-employment opportunities.

Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister said the state government is committed to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for members of the Bru community and helping them achieve economic self-reliance.

The toolkits were distributed among beneficiaries who had successfully completed skill development training, enabling them to put their newly acquired skills to practical use and pursue self-employment and income-generating activities.

Saha expressed confidence that such initiatives would bring meaningful changes to the lives of the beneficiaries by strengthening their economic independence and opening new avenues for livelihood and entrepreneurship.

He said skill development plays a crucial role in empowering communities and ensuring their greater participation in the state’s development process. The government, he added, remains focused on equipping people with the necessary skills and resources to build sustainable livelihoods and improve their standard of living.

The initiative is part of the broader effort to support the socio-economic empowerment of the Bru community through targeted skill development and livelihood-generation programmes. FD JK
