Chief Minister inaugurates blood donation camp, praises media's role

Agartala, Aug 12 (FD) Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated a blood donation camp organised by the Working Journalist Association at the Agartala Press Club. The event witnessed the presence of Mayor Dipak Majumder, ICA Director Bimbisar Bhattacharya, and others.

Dr. Saha commenced the programme by lighting a ceremonial candle, emphasizing the significance of such initiatives in addressing blood scarcity in Tripura. He praised the media's role as a societal mirror and a vital tool for the government to communicate the state's progress to the public.

Furthermore, CM Saha said that, the integral role of the media as the "mirror of society." He acknowledged that the media plays a crucial role in presenting the state's developmental journey to the public. He commended journalists for their relentless work, day and night, and the evolution of media from traditional radio broadcasts to modern digital platforms.

CM Saha emphasized the media's positive impact on Tripura's progress, noting its role in bringing government errors to light. He urged the media to uphold impartiality, striving to present neutral news while fostering cooperation among media outlets. FD SB
