Central govt approves Biplab Deb’s proposal to issue Postage on Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur

Agartala, Oct 11 (FD) The Philatelic Advisory Committee under Ministry of Communications Department of Posts, government of India has accepted the proposal sent by former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb for issuing a Commemorative Postage Stamp on Tripura’s last king, Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur.

Deb shared the letter in social media, issued by Sunil Sharma, DDG of Philately about approving his proposal.

 “Glad to share that the Philatelic Advisory Committee has accepted our proposal for issuing of Commemorative Postage Stamp on Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishor Manikya Bahadur.
It is a matter of great pride for the people of Tripura & our gratitude to GoI led by PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji.”, Deb wrote in his official facebook handle.

Sharma wrote, “I am pleased to inform you that the proposal for the issue of Commemorative Postage Stamp on Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishor Manikya Bahadur has been approved by the Philatelic Advisory Committee.” FD PD JK
