Capturing Tripura's Beauty: Two-Day Photography Exhibition marks World Photography Day

Agartala, Aug 19 (FD) On the occasion of World Photography Day, a remarkable two-day photography exhibition has taken centre stage at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan. The Tripura Photojournalists Association organized the event, which demonstrates the photographic industry's tenacity in the face of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The events inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and took place on Saturday at 11 a.m. Dr. Saha's personal interest in photography shone as he captured Tripura's essence through his lens. His insights into each image added a personal touch to the exhibition.
After a hiatus of two years due to the pandemic, this cherished photography exhibition has returned stronger than ever. The theme for this year, "Tripura Tourism," emphasizes the state's commitment to highlighting its potential as an emerging tourist destination.
Seventy captivating images grace the exhibition, capturing the natural beauty of the hill state. These picturesque locales are poised to become prominent tourist attractions in the future. The images, curate by dedicated photojournalists, reflect not only the region's scenic wonders but also the latest regional developments.
The event witnessed the presence of notable figures such as Jayanta Bhattacharya, President of the Agartala Press Club, and journalist Pranab Sarkar. Abhishek Saha, Secretary of the Photojournalists Association, along with President Suman Deb Roy and senior photojournalist Bikash Koley, graced the event.
The exhibition will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., offering the public a captivating view of Tripura's scenic wonders.
