BSF seizes Yaba tablets worth ₹50 lakh

Agartala, July 21 (FD) On July 21, 2024, the Border Security Force (BSF) launched a special operation in Srimantapur, Sonamura, within the Sepahijala district.
During this operation, BSF troops intercepted an electric auto rickshaw at the border and discovered 10,000 Yaba tablets, valued at ₹50 lakh, hidden beneath the driver's seat.
The suspected Indian smuggler driving the rickshaw was apprehended on the spot. The suspect, along with the seized tablets and vehicle, was handed over to the local police for further investigation. This operation highlights the BSF's commitment to combating trans-border crimes and preventing the infiltration of anti-national elements.
