BSF seizes smuggling goods worth more than Rs one crore

Agartala, May 21 (FD) The Border Security Force (BSF) has seized huge smuggling goods from South Tripura district worth more than Rs. one crore.
Acting on a tip-off, BSF in a joint operation with police personnel from Hrishyamukh police station carried out a search operation at Nalua Village in South Tripura district and successfully seized clothing items worth Rs. 78 Lakhs last night.
On the same day, in a separate operation, BSF acted basing on a tip-off and in a joint operation with the police personnel of Srinagar police station seized miscellaneous items worth Rs. 19 lakhs.
In an independent operation on the same day, vigilant BSF troops successfully rescued 31 Nos cattle worth value Rs. 7,70,000/- in Bhangamura area under PS Sabroom, District South Tripura, a BSF statement said today. FD JK
