BSF seizes 187 mobile sets from Motinagar area in Sipahijala district

Agartala, Mar 17 (FD) The Border Security Force (BSF) Personnel of the 81 battalion has seized 187 mobile phones worth Rs. 42 lakh from Amtoli under Motinagar police station in Sonamura sub-division of Sipahijala district.

Acting on a tip-off, they raided the village where the smugglers were waiting to throw the mobile sets towards the other side of the fencing, BSF Commandant, Rakesh Sinha said. 

Sensing the presence of the BSF personnel, the smugglers gave a slip leaving the mobile sets stocked in a cartoon.

BSF said the operation was held on Saturday night and the mobile sets were handed over to the appropriate authorities. FD JK
