BSF nabs 1 Bangladeshi national, seizes contrabands drugs

Agartala, Aug 29(FD) In the night intervening 28th Aug & 29th August 2024, 
On a specific information, BSF, apprehended a Bangladeshi national in the area of BOP Akhaura Check Post under Tripura West district in the night intervening 28th and 29th August, when apprehended man was trying to enter Bangladesh territory by negotiating the border fence. During the primary interrogation the apprehended person said he is a resident of Bangladesh living at Narayanganj district of Bangladesh. In an official statement BSF, Tripura headquarters said this.   
In two separate operations, BSF troops seized 26 kg Ganja from the area of BOP Bamutia under West Tripura and in the area of BOP Rahimpur under Sepahijala district.
The statement said the BSF in Tripura has stepped up domination and operation along the border areas to prevent infiltration/ exfiltration and trans border crimes. FD JK
