BSF apprehends two Bangladeshi Nationals in South Tripura

Agartala, July 23 (FD) On July 23, 2024, acting on specific intelligence, the Border Security Force (BSF), in collaboration with state police, conducted a joint operation. Around 7:00 PM, two Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended while attempting to cross into Indian territory in the Srinagar area.
The apprehended individuals have been identified as Md. Ibrahim, 45, son of Sakendas Miah from Kabir Hut village, Kabir Rut police station, Noakhali district, and Jamal Miah, 22, son of the late Abdul Malak from Akbar Shah village, Akbar Shah police station and Chittagong district.
After a preliminary inquiry, both individuals were handed over to the state police for further legal action. The BSF has intensified its crackdown on illegal migration by Bangladeshi nationals and has increased vigilance in close coordination with other agencies in the border area.
