Bride commits suicide within fifteen days of marriage

Agartala, Aug 31 (FD) In a tragic incident, a newlywed bride committed suicide by poisoning herself following insulting comment on her by her husband fifteen days after marriage.

The deceased- Anamika Namashudra (21) was allegedly a subjected of constant insults and humiliation by her husband for her appearance and the husband used to tell her that he had not chosen her for marriage.

Anamika returned home on Tuesday and consumed poison.

Immediately after the incident, she was taken to Khowai Sub-divisional hospital from where Anamika was referred to GBP hospital. But within moments of reaching the GBP hospital the attending doctor declared her dead.

Anamika’s husband who had also come to the GBP hospital fled the hospital as soon as he heard the doctor’s declaration of death. FD PD
